Age 98, died today at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Grace E. Ricks, 602 Church St., leaving 111 known direct descendants. Mr. Moneymaker was a native of Rockbridge County, and was a lumberman. He lived in Staunton and in Nelson county from the time he left Rockbridge until he came to Richmond 18 years age. He suffered a fall about two months age, but rallied from that and began to walk again before he was stricken with his final illness on Thursday. Surviving him besides Mrs. Ricks are two other daughters, Mrs. Leslie O. Sprouse and Miss Bertie Lee Moneymaker; two sons, John William and Mailey Reed Moneymaker; 60 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and at least one great-great-grandchild. The grandchildren are so scattered, said members of the family, that they have been unable to keep in touch with the fifth generation. Funeral services will be held from the Joseph W. Bliley Funeral Home on Monday at 3 P.M., with interment in Oakwood Cemetery.
